The ceramics on display are unique examples representing the integration of eastern and western civilizations, where mutual learning and understanding among artists from different civilizations have become common subjects in the world.
The four artists, Professor Wayne Higby of Alfred University, Professor Jacques Kaufman of Swiss Vevey Applied University, Professor Rokubey Kiyomizu Ⅷ of Kyoto University, and Professor Zhu Legeng, Dean of the Art Institute of China’s Academy of Art, showed appreciation for the exhibition.
How artists should participate in the construction of urban environmental space is a truly important subject and discussions on this subject will certainly become a global trend. For this very reason, the common feature of the four artists invited to the exhibition is the large scale of their works, which are all public art works or installations closely related to the space and environment of architecture. The show’s planner believes that this may be the ceramic art of the future, a key direction for art development in the coming years.
The exhibition runs until April 19.
