An exhibition,China's First Emperor and his Soldiers, kicked off at the Moesgard Museum in Aarhus, Denmark on April 1.
The exhibition showcased 104 items from Emperor Qin Shi Huang's mausoleum in Xi'an of Northwest China's Shaanxi province. The items include chariots, horses and warriors from 10 museums in Xi'an.
According to Guo Xianzeng, deputy director of Shaanxi's Cultural Relics Bureau, these items have "reflected from different angles of 'the grand unification' of the Qin Dynasty (221-206BC) and uncovered its cultural bond with the coming Han Dynasty (206BC-220)."
The exhibition is among the cultural activities to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between Denmark and China and serves to deepen cultural exchanges between the two countries.
Denmark's Queen Margrethe II was present at the opening ceremony, and said the exhibition is more than a cultural exchange activity, that it also means a lot to the bilateral ties between the two countries.
"It was 36 years since Queen Margrethe II and Prince Henrik paid a visit to the Terracotta Warriors in Xi'an,” said Liu Biwei, Chinese ambassador to Denmark, adding that he hopes the exhibition will remind her of the 1979 visit.
The exhibition will last until Sept 30.
