Folk artists create lunar New Year's woodblock paintings to meet the market needs of the approaching Spring Festival in Lixinzhang village, Neihuang county, Central China's Henan province, Jan 11,2015. The lunar New Year's paintings, also called "Gate God's Painting", are well received by the local villagers. For the locals, to put up a lunar New Year's painting on their gate and inside their house will not only serve as a decoration, but also carries the cultural connotation of a blessing and driving out evil spirits. It is said that the cultural heritage of the lunar New Year's paintings in Lixinzhang village is more than 1,000 years old. [Photo by Liu Xiaokun/ asianewsphoto.com]
