The International Association of Theatre for Children and Young People organized an online video conference for nearly 50 representatives from its member centers in Asia and Australia on May 19. Yvette Hardy, president, and Louis, the secretary general, attended and hosted the meeting. In view of the current epidemic, international communication cannot be carried out normally. In accordance with the relevant requirements of the association's constitution, the ASSITEJ held online conferences in different regions. It was officially announced that the ASSITEJ World Conference, originally scheduled for May 2020 in Tokyo, Japan, would be postponed until March 2021. In keeping with this adjustment, and in order to ensure the continuity of the association's series of activities, the Swedish center and the Serbian center stated that they would delay the campaign of the 2022 and 2023 art conferences respectively. Some other issues were also discussed at the conference.

Yin Xiaodong, president of the ASSITEJ China center and director of the China National Theatre for Children, attended the meeting as the Chinese representative.
