Malaysian Chinese children compose songs against COVID-19

Three Malaysian Chinese children made videos to publicize the epidemic prevention and control of the country while staying home. They adapted a few songs to thank staff fighting against the COVID-19 epidemic.

Xie Xuan, Xie Angie and Xie Tian are from one family and study at Malaysian Miri Chinese Public School(马来西亚美里中华公学). They formed their group, called Three Directions, in early January. Xuan, the eldest child, and his little sister Angie used to listen to music, especially English songs, so could cover those songs themselves.

“We have made a rendition of Sejahtera Malaysia because we have great admiration for the medical staff, police and soldiers on the front line of the fight against the epidemic.” Xuan said. Once, he and his sister were humming What's Up when they got the idea to change the lyrics, and composed one of their covers Stay at Home. Their work was widely appreciated and shared on the Internet.
