Malaysian undergraduates compose songs for China: ‘Our hearts are together’

A little more love, let there be a better tomorrow “

A little more caring, to those who are in despair “

A little more love, making this world more colourful

Grateful for the brave ones, who made everything goes better “

 ……

Written by a Malaysian undergraduate named Jasmine Chong, a touching song has been composed for the people fighting the novel coronavirus in China. Chong started her exchange studies at the University of Nottingham Ningbo in 2019. During the outbreak of the virus, she was deeply moved by the many medical workers going to fight the disease, risking their safety instead of reuniting with their families for Lunar New Year's Eve.

“I have read the reports about it and I was very sad. I love Ningbo, where I made my best friends and spent the best time in college. I have learned many new things in China. Ningbo is my second home,” Chong said. Since she couldn't do much while in Malaysia, she wanted to make a song to thank medical workers and to encourage patients to overcome difficulties. “I want you to know that although I am Malaysian, my heart is with you all.”
