Malaysia hosts China-Malaysia Youth Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition

Lanzhou’s Nanjia Academy and Pay Fong High School jointly hosted “Charm of ink flying—Exhibition of China-Malaysia Youth Painting and Calligraphy Cultural Exchanges” in Malacca, Malaysia. This activity aimed to enhance exchanges between China and Malaysia in arts and culture, attracting more than 90 young painters from Gansu province and Malaysia to display their paintings.
The young people participating in the exhibition were aged between 8 and 21, in association with the Malaysia Contemporary Chinese Painting & Calligraphy Association.
At the opening ceremony, both schools presented a calligraphy show and exchanged souvenirs with each other. Commemorative certificates were awarded to participating students. Feng haonan, the director of Nanjia Academy, delivered a brief introduction into the history of Chinese Calligraphy. After the exhibition, 50 paintings created by students from Nanjia Academy were presented to Pay Fong High School.
