The China-ASEAN Karting International Race POK CUP CHINA 2019, one of the activities of the second Xingning Sports Tourism and Leisure Conference, was held on June 8 and 9, at the international karting circuit in Nanning, Guangxi province. Since June 6, a number of activities have been organized to warm up for the karting competition. The China-ASEAN Youth Exchange Camp of Karting Sports allows children to get closer to karting and learn more about it.

There are 30 primary students taking part in the camp. Led by teachers from Guangxi Transport Vocational and Technical College, students first visited various facilities for automobile engineering and learned about automobile driving skills, basic theoretical knowledge and general knowledge of machinery. Then, students went to the repair zone of the karting competition, learning about the facilities and process of repair. Participants came from ASEAN countries, interacted with students and taught them some karting skills.

Driving a kart solo became the most attractive part of the activities. After instruction, students were led by coaches to drive on the track, enjoying the feeling of becoming a “real” racer. A total of 60 teams and 240 participants will participate in the China-ASEAN Karting Invitational Competition. At that time, a karting competition filled with both speed and passion would be held in Nanning, and Nanning Daily will broadcast the whole event live.
