The China-ASEAN International Children's Culture and Art Festival, and Children's Day Art Show, themed "My Country and I", were held in Nanning, South China’s Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region.

The festival in 2019 focuses on exchanges in arts and civilization among the new generation and in children's cultural and artistic performance. It provides the base for constructing a platform for culture and art exchanges between children from China and ASEAN countries and promotes mutual respect and appreciation of the beauty of each civilization.

The festival is hosted by the Nanning City Culture and Tourism Bureau of Radio and Television, on the basis of the Nanning Children's Art Festival and the advantage of the China-ASEAN International Art Youth Culture Festival. It strives for rich and colorful activities, creating a new chapter of China and ASEAN cultural exchanges and mutual learning.

Guangxi Zhuang and ASEAN are connected by mountains and rivers, with cultural integration and unique geographical and cultural advantages. The 2019 China - ASEAN International Children's Culture and Arts Festival focuses on building a cultural exchange platform between China and ASEAN and enhancing mutual respect and learning between different civilizations.

This year is the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, and the festival is closely grounded on "My Country and I" as the theme. There are 100 cities across the country joining the domestic competition, national finals and summer camps, and then these excellent children will be sent to Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia and other countries to enhance the mutual respect. The China-ASEAN International Children's Cultural Art Festival series of activities will help deepen the abundant knowledge of various countries and improve all-round exchanges. In addition, on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, representatives from ASEAN countries will be invited to Nanning to celebrate the 2019 China - ASEAN International Children's Culture and Art Festival, which is a brilliant event to pay tribute to the country's 70th birthday.

The festival will end Sept 25, and activities through then will cover 100 cities across the country and Southeast Asia countries, and will involve all kinds of children's art competitions, art tours and other events. Most of these activities will be held in Nanning and Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region. Activities are being organized by Nanning Municipal Public Arts and the China - ASEAN International Children's Cultural Festival Organization Committee.
