National Arts Fund organizes experts review in Beijing

National Arts Fund Experts Assembly was held in Beijing, September 22, 2014. The Minister of Culture and the chairman of the National Arts Fund Cai Wu attended the meeting and delivered a speech.

In a speech, Cai underscored that the purpose of the arts fund is to develop national literature and arts sector. “We need to balance the relationship among government, market rule, and social and economical interests. And to establish a mechanism that is in line with the law of the development of art, the rule of market and the trend of the times. The fund shall be given a full play to promote the arts sector,” said Cai. He added that the system of experts review is more fair and equitable and will offer more opportunities to young talents. The experts review is a process of learning, so he wished that every expert can take something positive from it and take full responsibility for his work.
