With an area of 12 square kilometers and a history of 5000-3000 years, Sanxingdui ancient site is the largest, longest lasting and most abundant ancient city, ancient country and ancient Shu cultural site in Southwest China. At present, there are the best preserved East, West and south walls and the inner wall of Moon Bay. Sanxingdui ancient site is known as one of the greatest archaeological discoveries in the 20th century, which shows that the Yangtze River Basin, like the Yellow River Basin, belongs to the mother of Chinese civilization and is known as the "source of Yangtze River civilization".

Sanxingdui cultural relic is a precious human cultural heritage. Among the vast and magnificent cultural relic groups in China, it is one of the cultural relic groups with the most historical, scientific, cultural and artistic value and rich ornamental value. Among these ancient Shu treasures, there are many bizarre bronze shapes, such as the 2.62-meter-high bronze Dali Man, the 1.38-meter-wide bronze mask, and the 3.95-meter-high bronze sacred tree, all of which can be regarded as unique. The gold wares represented by the glittering golden staff and the jade wares represented by the Bian Zhang with patterns are also rare treasures never seen before.

Sanxingdui Museum has two exhibition halls, with an exhibition area of nearly 12000 square meters, which are divided into the first exhibition hall (Comprehensive hall, displaying gold, copper, jade, stone, pottery and other cultural relics) and the second exhibition hall (bronze Museum). The two pavilions display large-scale, exquisite layout, the combination of content and the rhythm of the exhibition line, ups and downs, with its integration of knowledge, story, ornamental, interesting in a furnace of interpretation, effectively reveals the profound connotation of Sanxingdui cultural relics, reflects the brilliance of Sanxingdui civilization, gives people the feeling of being personally on the scene and visiting their homeland.
