Wuju opera performance
A reception to celebrate the 30th anniversary of ASEAN-China relations was held at the ASEAN-China Center in Beijing on Sept 17.Four children were selected by the Yiwu Convergence Media Art Center as culture communicators for the reception. They gave a Wu opera performance to demonstrate the local culture. The children dressed up as Wang Zhaojun, a famous figure in Chinese history who represents peaceful exchange. Many foreign guests talked with them and took photos together.
Chen Dehai, secretary-general of the ASEAN-China Center, presented certificates of honor to the four performers, encouraging them to study hard and continue to be cultural communicators.
