Short animated film: 'The Plum Blossom'
The Plum Blossom is a short video produced by Yu Jin, an associated professor from the School of Film and Animation of the China Academy of Art. It tells the story of a teacher who volunteered to teach at schools in rural areas throughout his life. A student was so moved by the teacher that he chose to teach at the same school when he completed his studies.
The video is dedicated to teachers who help those living in the mountainous areas of China and it has won prizes both at home and abroad including the International Children’s Television Festival “Dytiatko” and C.A.K.E awards.
Plum blossoms bloom in the cold of winter. For Chinese people, the flower is often used to represent the spirit of bravery and fearlessness.
