In order to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Nepal, the Chinese Embassy in Nepal held, for the first time, a film festival to commemorate the occasion through Nepal's national television station NTV on August 1. During the three-day festival, a number of Chinese and Nepalese films and TV programs, such as China From Above 2, China's Battle Against Disease COVID-19 and Bulbul, will be broadcast.

The second season of the documentary China From Above 2 shows audiences the natural scenery and modern cities of China through a combination of aerial photography, computer effects and ground shooting. The documentary China's Battle Against Disease COVID-19 is a documentary style feature showing China's anti-epidemic fight in a transparent and open manner. The Nepalese feature film Bulbul describes a romantic love story in Kathmandu, capital of Nepal, from the perspective of a female minibus driver. The film was awarded at the Nepal National Film Festival, and was selected as the representative of Nepal works for the 92nd Academy Awards.
