ULAN BATOR -- An inauguration ceremony of the complete translations of three Chinese books was held here on Saturday as part of a China-Mongolia seminar on translation of literature.

The Firebrand by popular Chinese novelist Cao Wenxuan, The Study of Tsend Damdinsuren's Literature by director of the Mongolian Research Centre at Peking University Dr. Wang Hao, and The Mencius were translated by scholars of the National University of Mongolia (NUM) on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of China-Mongolia diplomatic relations.

"The importance of literary translation is immeasurable. It provides people with a deeper understanding of culture of other countries," Choimaa Lodoiravsal, deputy director in charge of research and cooperation of the NUM, said at the inauguration ceremony.
