NetEase Cloud Music, a subsidiary of the Hangzhou-based internet company, NetEase, held an award ceremony to honor Chinese indie musicians recently at Beijing’s M Space.

The event, now in its second year, brought together Chinese singer-songwriters, including rock musician Zhang Chu, indie folk duo, The Landlord’s Cat, and singer-songwriter Mao Buyi.

At the event, Mao won the Album of the Year for his debut work Perfect Day, which was released in May 2018 and sold more than 11 million singles on NetEase Cloud Music by the end of 2018.
