'Empower Women Creations' put them together on 29 November in India.

Narly 100 artists, entrepreneurs, architects, dancers and representatives from the Art Display & Decoration Committee of China recently participated in a forum in India to discuss the empowerment of women in Asia, in areas such as gender equality, female self-development, and fairness in allocation of social resources.

Speaking at the event, Indian artist and stage designer Rajeev Sethi, who was the host of the forum, said: "In Asia, women have historically played an indispensable role in the process of innovation and development, but the ancient and traditional cultures of Asia have remained silent about such contributions.

“Women’s contributions to the development of society, culture and economy are often unrecognized. In fact, although women have remained silent in the historical process, they have effectively influenced and promoted the balanced development of society. And now, we are gradually recognizing the key role that women play in the social, economic, cultural, and creative fields."

Chinese designer Liang Jianguo, who spoke on behalf of the Chinese art delegation, said: “In the field of art, many of our design inspirations come from women. The influence of women promoted the development and progress of society. So we can imagine the role that women can play in the next few decades.

“With women gaining more opportunities in areas such as education, finance, and entrepreneurship, they will make an undeniable contribution to the growth and prosperity of society."

Meanwhile, reports by top consulting firms show that women will play an important role in the rapid growth of Asian economies in the coming decades.

In its report released in April, McKinsey, a global management consulting firm, says that by 2025, promoting gender equality in Asia Pacific will bring a total of $4.5 trillion in GDP growth opportunities, with an annual growth rate of 12 per cent.
