The 7th International Master Workshop on Theaters and Theater Company Management was inaugurated on the Changping Campus of The Central Academy of Drama recently.
Based on realities in both China and the US, the workshop focused on the development of theater in the two countries, in order to determine the direction for Chinese theaters' development.
David Fay, the president and CEO of the Bushnell Center for the Performing Arts, said of the event: "This workshop is held on the basis of the good cultural exchanges between China and the US."
He also hoped that every participant would gain something from taking part in the workshop.
In addition to keynote speeches, there were also group discussions.
"When China's literature and art step into a new era, we need to shoulder new responsibilities and proactively explore our future development," said Xu Yongsheng, the vice president of the Central Academy of Drama.
