The China World Trade Center celebrated its 34th anniversary and the 40th anniversary of China's Reform and Opening-up on Sept 5 in Beijing.
The theme of the event was "Together We Build a Better Future", and it was held at the China World Summit Wing.
Gao Yan, the president of CWTC, spoke at the event where entrepreneurs, clients, and staff were also honored.
CWTC,located in the heart of Beijing's Central Business District, comprises hotels, apartments, exhibition spaces, and a shopping mall occupying 17 hectares of land and a total floor area of 1,1 million square meters.
The center, which was founded in Feb 1985, is one of the largest upmarket commercial mixed-use developments in the world, and features a number of prestigious multinational corporations and global high-end retail stores.
CWTC has always been involved in public welfare, and set a special fund for public welfare in 2009 which has to date donated more than 10 million yuan ($ 1.46 million) to deserving causes.
Speaking about CWTC's activities, Chen Yanping, the vice-president of the center says: "We should all work together and offer our help for targeted poverty alleviation."
