China Song and Dance Ensemble

The China Song and Dance Ensemble (CSDE) was established through the merger of the Central Song and Dance Ensemble and the China Light Music Society in 1996. it is now an artistic performance institution under the Ministry of Culture.  

Duties and tasks: inherit, create and perform Chinese national song and dance programs and give light music performances; and research, is, create and perform musical plays.

Establishment: CSDE includes the Creation Center, Dancing Team, Light Music Team, Vocal Performance Team, Stage Art Project Team, National Music Team, Director's Office, and Performance Department. Achievements: Since 1978, CSDE has won 18 prizes for dances, 20 prizes for songs and one prize for an instrumental program.
