The Conservatory of Chinese Fine Arts (CCFA) is an institution of higher education under the Ministry of Culture.

Duties and Tasks: Train specialized artistic creation and teaching personnel; train artistic design and popularization personnel for Zhejiang Province and related departments; and conduct artistic creation and theoretic research.

Establishment: Under CCFA there is Department of Chinese Paintings, oil Painting Department, Print Department, Sculpture Department, Industrial Porcelain Design Department, Department of Environmental Art, Department of History of Art, Artistic Education Department, Vision Transmit Department, Clothes Dying and Weaving Department, Teaching Department of Public Classes, Office of Comprehensive Paintings, Postgraduate Department, Pan Tianshou Memorial Hall, General Office, Dean's Office and Foreign Affairs Department (International Exchange and Training Center). There is also an affiliated art school, branch of the Shanghai Institute of Design Art, branch of adult education institute (Adult Education Department) and a press house.

Major achievements: Since 1978, altogether a5 pieces of works of CCFA won prizes at national or international exhibitions.
