The World Tourism Cities Federation's annual summit will be held in Shandong province's Qingdao from Sept 7-9.
This year's event, jointly organized by the federation and the Qingdao government, will attract around 400 tourism representatives, including 200 industry leaders from around 100 tourist cities around the world.
To date, more than 20 tourism ministers and mayors of tourist cities have confirmed their presence at the Qingdao summit, according to the federation.
Meetings about tourism exhibitions, promotions, trade and investment will be staged in the interim.
Reports about the development of global tourism cities and China's outbound traveler's consumption will be released at the summit.
Established in 2012, the WTCF is a nonprofit international tourism organization formed by more than 200 cities and tourism-related institutions.
The organization aims to promote exchanges and cooperation among its members and the tourism industry.
