Thirty-six special effects films from 10 countries, including China, the United States, Britain and Canada are scheduled to be screened at the 8th Beijing International Film Festival.
Nineteen of the films are on China's screens for the first time, including Oceans by the British Broadcasting Corporation, which was shown at the Giant Screen Theatre of the China Science and Technology Museaum in Beijing Sunday.
The screening of the special effects films is the eighth of the kind at at the China Science and Technology Museum, which coincides with the sci-tech section of the 8th Beijing International Film Festival.
The 8th Beijing International Film Festival officially started on April 15 and will end on April 22, but its panorama section began on April 6. Altogether 328 films are scheduled to hit screens across Beijing from April 6 to 22, according to the organizers of the festival.
