The 2018 Beijing Film Festival "Translating Films, Bridging Cultures" International Conference is calling for papers worldwide.
Held at Communication University of China in Beijing from April 17-18, the conference invites scholars and experts from China and abroad for the presentation and discussion of up-to-date research on audiovisual translation and dissemination. High-quality research contributions describing original and unpublished results of conceptual, constructive, empirical, experimental, theoretical or practical work are all invited for presentation at the conference.

IV. Registration and Fees:
Registration is required for all presenters and participants of the conference. The standard registration fee for the conference is 200 USD. The registration fee for full-time students (student ID required) is 100 USD. The registration fee can be paid on-site.
Please note that the fee covers the conference pack, refreshments, lunches, a conference dinner, and certificate for participation. The fee does not cover travel, accommodations or other meals not specified.
V. Submission of Abstracts
The 2018 "Translating Films, Bridging Cultures" International Conference invites papers on topics related to one of the conference themes. A selection of the research papers will be published as a book, Translation Films, Bridging Cultures 2018, following the conference. The paper selection will be carried out during the peer review process as well as at the conference presentation stage.
Those who are interested in making a presentation at the conference should indicate your initial interest by sending your abstract in English (about 300 words) or Chinese (400 characters) to cuctranslation@163.com by 31 March 2018. Please state your basic information, including the title of your paper, your full name, institution, postcode and correspondence address, e-mail address and telephone number, in the email message.
The letter of acceptance will be sent by 8 April 2018.
