The 4th "Romantic Autumn" French Culture Festival is now on in Beijing with a series of activities.
The festival is hosted by the Beijing French Alliance, a French training provider that aims at promoting the language and French culture in China.
At its opening on Thursday, Thierry Lasserre, the director of Beijing French Alliance, said that the festival is a great chance to showcase French culture comprehensively and to promote cultural exchanges between France and China.
The festival, which will run through Dec 18, will include jazz concerts, workshops for children, piano concerts, "Marsupilami" comic workshops and a Christmas bazar.
French pianist Olivier de Spiegeleir will give a masterclass at the Beijing Language and Culture University on Nov 11, and stage a performance at the theater of the National Museum of China on Nov 12.
The Christmas bazar will be held at the Solana Lifestyle Shopping Park in Chaoyang district.
