The ongoing Oktoberfest Beijing 2017 at Kempinski Hotel Beijing Lufthansa Center is offering beer lovers a veritable feast of German culture, with authentic Bavarian dishes, Paulaner beer and entertainment lighting up the tent until Oct 29.
The traditional beer, Bavarian food and authentic entertainment attracted more than 6,000 people last year.
"Oktoberfest is all about the spirit of enjoying life and about Bavarian traditions. We thank our loyal guests for their continuous support over the last two decades," said Torsten Dressler, managing director of the home of the original Beijing Oktoberfest, the iconic Oktoberfest venue for 25 years.
"We were delighted to host the opening of the 25th Oktoberfest and bring in the ambiance of traditional Bavarian festivity to the city," Dressler said at a ceremony to celebrate the opening of the beer festival on Oct 12.
The event, located at the Paulaner Bräuhaus, will run for more than two consecutive weeks and can accommodate up to 500 people at a time. An original Oktoberfest band will perform live music on stage and Kleeblatt showgirls will perform traditional dances and games to ensure a fun event for all.
