The Citic Guoan Group and the Beijing Film Academy have signed an agreement on Sept 19 to jointly develop video productions and talent at a time when China's film industry is expanding.
But the world's second-largest film market after the United States still has some weaknesses. Experts consider the lack of talent as one of them.
Cultivating talent has now become the key to achieve higher development of the industry.
At the signing ceremony, 150 Hours+ was announced to be shot in the future. It is an experimental film that will be produced by the group and the BFA.
It will be shot in Golmud in Qinghai province, recording the challenges that outdoor runners face in the Qaidam Basin, where the life is also restricted due to a shortage of supplies.
