The award ceremony of the 2017 Beijing Cultural Creative Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition was held on July 13.
The event aims to encourage innovative ideas and to foster talent, says Mei Song, the president of the organizing committee.
The competition was launched in April. Among the 1,200 entries were a large number of projects that are studying the protection and exploitation of creative design.
The competition is not only a platform for entrepreneurs to show their projects, but also a chance for financial investment organizations to discover business opportunities.
Yu Aijing, the vice-president of the Beijing Cultural Investment Development Group Co Ltd, was one of the judges in the competition.
"What we invest in is the trend, content that's popular among youth, and that's the advantage of mass entrepreneurship and innovation," says Yu. "Any type of idea, as long as it can be turned into products and consumption, is acceptable."
