Seven ancient tombs dating back 1,600 years have been discovered in eastern China's Nanchang city, capital of Jiangxi province, according to Nanchang Museum.
The tombs were discovered during the extension of Badashanren Meihu Lake, a major tourist destination, said Hu Zhen, curator of the museum.
"According to the structures of the tombs, and bricks with inscriptions inside them, we believe they belong to one family," said Hu.
But due to grave robbery and collapse, only 54 cultural relics have been unearthed so far, making it difficult to identify the tomb owner, Hu said.
