Shanghai Disneyland will hold its three-day grand opening ceremony starting from tomorrow, greeting its fans with a specially made Chinese version of the Broadway classic musical The Lion King.
Three Disney ambassadors, Chinese actress Sun Li, pianist Lang Lang and NBA player Yao Ming will grace the ceremony together with other performing artists during the two hour opening show.
The Wednesday show, according to Laodong Daily, will be aired live at Dragon TV, and is supposed to be "originally Disney with a touch of Chinese".
As one of the performing sites, Downtown Disney will be closed tomorrow, transportation and opening hours during the three days may be redirected.
The Shanghai Disney Resort will be formerly open to the public this Thursday - from noon to 10 pm.
