China’s major online-video website Iqiyi.com signed a strategic-cooperation agreement with China Central Television on Dec 18 to produce better films.

The agreement involves Iqiyi and CCTV’s movie channel. They will create three film series and 10 feature-length films for online-broadcast platforms in the next five years.

The two sides also agreed to work more closely on film marketing and the development of derivatives.

Some popular online productions will be adapted for the big screen.
