Diamond Leaves: the Second Exhibition of Artists Books from the World is underway at the Art Museum of China Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA) in Beijing.
The central exhibition features roughly 100 artist books from around the globe, including items by the father of Surrealism Salvador Dali, conceptual artist Bruce Nauman and noted Swiss bookmaker Roth Dieter, as well as key works in the history of bookmaking. Nearly half of the books are works by Chinese artists from the last three years.
Three satellite exhibitions in the show have distinct themes, namely, "Books that Can Move", "Handmade Book Designs for Nobel Prize-Winning Literature" and "Journey", providing visitors with an interesting array of techniques in book-making.
