A special animation exhibition opened in Sydney China Cultural Center on Friday, kicking off a two-month long Hunan Cultural Season in Australia.
Themed Fantastic Hunan, the exhibition showcases the latest products and creations of animation industries in Hunan and builds up a platform where audiences can experience a series of derivative products of animation culture.
"Hunan, a province in Central China, has a long history and profound culture," said Tang Ying, the deputy consul general of China in Sydney. Tang stressed that the cultural event will provide the Australian pubic a perfect chance to embrace Chinese culture.
Zhao Li, head of Sydney China Cultural Center also participated in the opening ceremony. She said that Hunan pioneered the animation industry in China and that the event would enhance the further cooperation between the two countries. It also helps to set up a closer tie to the animation film and television industry.
