The 2nd Silk Road International Cultural Forum (SCF) will be held in Moscow from September 13 to 15, according to SCF’s press conference at Beijing's Diaoyutai State Guesthouse on August 12, 2015.
With the theme of 'developing the partnership, discussing cultural cooperation', the 2nd SCF attracts a number of approximately 300 envoys, cultural officials, experts, scholars and representatives from more than 20 countries to discuss over 9 topics including 'cultural exchange and international cooperation: the practice and future prospect of silk road spirit', 'new model of multilateral economic cooperation and sustainable development', 'cultural diversity and modern innovation of classics', 'the 21st century museum', 'library cooperation' and 'travel forum'.
Zhang Xinglan, Secretary-general of China Nationality Cultural Foundation hosted the conference whereas representatives of organizers, sponsors, foreign governments, and scholars delivered speeches in succession.
Wu Jie, Deputy Chairman of China Nationality Cultural Foundation pointed out that the Silk Road is not only an approach to economic growth, but also a road of cultural preservation and innovation, and a road of friendship.
During the press conference, the vice president of ENN Group (China) Jin Yongsheng announced that the 'Silk Road Eurasian Cultural Cooperation Organization' was set up for calling more cultural governmental agencies and companies to join this exchange platform of the Silk Road.
Organized by China nationality Cultural Foundation, China Silk Road Foundation, Kazakhstan People Spiritual Cultural Development Foundation, and the Intergovernmental Foundation for Educational, Scientific and Cultural Cooperation of the Commonwealth of Independent States, sponsored by ENN Group (China), SCF is devoted to becoming a platform for different countries along the ancient Eurasian trade route to exchange ideas to better promote cooperation and coordination in culture and explore a long-term multilateral mechanism in the field.
