In Hong Kong, a scale model of Hans Solo's Millennium Falcon is proving the major draw for the 17th Animation, Comic, and Games Expo. Of course, it is also a great reason to dress up.
Cosplay is a big part of this convention, with fans dressing up as their favorite characters, regardless of gender.
As fans go, Chris Chan is pretty hard-core, showing up at the expo in full Iron-Man costume.
"This is my Iron Man Mark 6 costume. It's made with urethane plastic stripes and foam. I added some electronic function on my Iron Man shirt," Chan said.
But at the 'Star-Wars' booth, even superheroes are being upstaged by the 1/6th-scale model of the Millennium Falcon. It is 5.5 meters long, 3.7 meters wide, and weighs a tonne.
With more than 600 exhibitors, the Hong Kong convention brings to life the best in comics, animation, games and toys, limited-edition items, and a variety of performances and activities, including cosplay contests, meet-and-greets with comic artists, and a comic illustration competition.
The expo runs from July 24 to July 28.
