Chinese fantasy film "Monster Hunt" has set a new record in Chinese box office with 492 million yuan , around 79.2 million US dollars in its first three days.
It has become the quickest Chinese movie to break the 400 million yuan record.
Directed by Raman Hui, "Monster Hunt" is a 3D live-action adventure, set in a fantasy world where humans and monsters battle to rule the land.
The Hong Kong-Chinese production is produced by Bill Kong's Edko Films and stars Eric Tsang, Wallace Chung, Bai Baihe and Sandra Ng.
