A long, but enjoyable day marked the first training beginning of the China-CEEC (Central and Eastern European Countries) summer dance camp, which kicked off on Wednesday in Shaanxi province.

Starting with Tai Chi morning exercise, teachers and students undertook an adventure in culture exchange. Chinese students who mainly majored in classic traditional Chinese dance were the first to experience the Western training system. They learned contemporary dance techniques, while CEEC students tried to understand the concept of Chinese traditional dance.

The camp’s first week is being held at the Xi'an Folk and Arts Museum at the foot of Tsinling Mountains in the countryside of Xi’an, the capital of Shaanxi province. It’s full of traditional Chinese architecture.

In the following week, the participants will move to Ansai, a city in northern Shaanxi province. For the last week, they will stay in a tea garden in southern Shaanxi province and give a performance in Xi’an.
