Diplomats from 15 countries, including Nigeria, Fiji, South Korea and Austria were guests at the third Cultural Tour of Inner Mongolia.
Inner Mongolian vice chairman Liu XinLe recalled the event last year when more than 20 art groups and 200 passenger guests traveled to 10 countries to carry out cultural exchanges.
Austria’s Counsellor Gudrun Hardiman-Pollross pointed out that although China is much larger than Austria, she hopes Austrian culture will spread to Inner Mongolia.
The tour features a visit to the Inner Mongolia Museum, Ordos city and the National Minority Non-Leftist Exhibition. Regional handicraft-making, an Ordos wedding ceremony and cultural shows were also included.
This event was sponsored by the People’s Republic of China’s Ministry of Culture, the People’s Government of Inner Mongolia, the Ministry of Culture of the Foreign Cultural Relations Bureau, Inner Mongolia’s Department of Culture, the Publicity Office, the Foreign Affairs Office, the Municipal Government of Hohhot and Ordos City.
