China's national pavilion day has been celebrated at the Milan Expo 2015. Many Expo visitors attended China's celebrations on Monday.
Chinese dance, Peking Opera, acrobatics, tai chi, and violin and piano concerts were presented. Themed ‘Land of Hope, Food for Life’, the rippling wheat-shaped building of the China Pavilion exhibits the country's agricultural history and food culture.

On Monday, the vice premier attended special ‘progress against hunger’ activities held by the UN Food and Agriculture Organization, which awarded China for achieving the 1996 World Food Summit target of halving the absolute number of hungry people by 2015.
