11th China Int'l Cultural Industries Fair to open in Shenzhen

The 11th annual China (Shenzhen) International Culture Industries Fair (ICIF) will be held in Shenzhen of South China's Guangdong province during May 14-18, 2015.

The cultural fair this year will especially set up the Silk Road Hall and Creative Design and Living Hall in the main venue.

Silk Road Hall was designed to promote China's "One Belt, One Road" initiative and to push the "going-out" strategy of Chinese culture. Creative Design and Living Hall were built to create a huge platform for the exchange of projects, capital, talents, and ideas, which reflect the determination to build Shenzhen into a city of creativity and a home for mass entrepreneurial and innovative talents.

The cultural products of 15 countries along the course of the "One Belt, One Road" and 15 Chinese provinces and cities will be on display at the Silk Road Hall.

Countries such as Russia, Egypt, India, Thailand, and Malaysia, as well as domestic cities like Xi'an, Urumchi, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Quanzhou have confirmed their intent to participate in the cultural fair.

Creative Design and Living Hall will also showcase cutting-edge ideas from several teams from Hong Kong and Taiwan.

ICIF is the only national, internationalized and integrated cultural industries fair in China and also the only cultural fair approved by The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI). It is hosted by the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Commerce, the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television of the People’s Republic of China, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Guangdong Provincial People’s Government and Shenzhen Municipal People’s Government.

The 10th ICIF in 2014 attracted 2263 exhibitors with its participants coming from 95 countries and regions with turnover reaching $37.43 billion.
