Zhang Mengmeng always dreamed of promoting Broadway musicals in her hometown Yinchuan, capital city of Ningxia Hui autonomous region.

That dream came true after the 33 year-old launched her own theater, "MengMeng's Cabaret", in 2019.

Although the theater holds less than 80 people at a time, it is a place for her to share life experiences with audiences through music and dance.

Specializing in musical and photography, Zhang has studied in New York City and was determined to bring this valuable art to Yinchuan city.
