The second Street Dance Festival held in Guangzhou showcased 15 original Chinese dance works from Nov 18-19. [Photo provided to China Daily]

One of the dance works, entitled Yingge Dance, is based on a traditional folk dance style named yingge dance, which is popular in Guangdong province. Choreographed by Li Yuhang, the dance piece brings together 10 dancers from a dance team of Guangdong branch under the China Hip-Hop Union Committee. 

In the dance piece, Chuan Yi, created by a street dance team from Yunnan province, dancers use their physical movements to portray the black and white chess game, featuring street dance styles, martial arts and Chinese classical dance.
