The National Theatre of China is presenting three original plays from Friday to Nov 16 as part of the ongoing China Shanghai International Arts Festival.
This is the sixth year the National Theatre is presenting its Shanghai performing season, says Bai Xuefeng, deputy director of the theater.
"Shanghai is so important for us that we take it as our second home city," Bai says. "We love to have our new creations tested and criticized by the audiences of Shanghai."
The three new plays premiered this year in celebration of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.
