On Oct 26, designers from home and abroad showed off Chinese aesthetics under the influence of both traditional elements and contemporary design at Evening of Fashion Beijing.

With a theme of "The future has already arrived," the event combined various forms, including traditional music, dance, video and AR.

Laurence Xu, Liu Wei, Ma Yanli, Giancarlo Mossi Borella, Grace Chen, Christophe Terzian, Irakli Nasidze and Chris Bangle introduced their work, including fashion garments and an electronic vehicle named REDS.

Liu, who has won the China Fashion Award, said: "The event offered an opportunity for local and foreign designers to communicate and appreciate each other, also to present design works from different perspectives and in a more artistic way, in order to attract more people to the charm of Chinese traditional culture in fashion."

She thinks changing technology will have a great impact on the fashion industry, and their combination will lead people to better lives.

Nasidze from France, who also participated in the event last year, brought over 10 sets of clothing this time.

"China has a solid culture foundation," he said. "I personally gain knowledge visiting each city, and the experience inspires me to be creative."

He also claims developing technology will help designers break the boundaries between different fields, but culture is the real inspiration.
