Teens from around the world paint the Belt and Road together
The 7th Guangong Cup Amazing Belt and Road Children’s Art Exhibition and the first Taiyuan Primary and Secondary School Students’ Pottery Competition kicked off at the Taiyuan Art Museum on May 13.
The exhibition and competition not only attracted the participation of children in the city, but also included children from more than 10 countries, such as in Malaysia, Laos, the United States and Spain, and more than 20 cities in China.
More than 16,000 works were collected, a record. Among the entries, more than 3,500 pieces were exhibited after selection.
This year's Children's Art Exhibition, based on the theme "Amazing Belt and Road Initiative", encourages children and adolescents to use brushes to depict a beautiful picture of the Belt and Road initiative and record its development.
Meanwhile, to pass on traditional Chinese porcelain painting art to help teachers and students have an in-depth understanding of its characteristics, more than 400 primary and middle school students signed up for a pottery competition.
The exhibition is a government-led public welfare special brand event jointly organized by the Taiyuan City Committee for Concern for the Next Generation, the Taiyuan Education Bureau, the Taiyuan Cultural Bureau and the Taiyuan Art Museum.
