Co-hosted by the Tourism Authority of Thailand and the BYMT Football Club, the 2018 China-Thailand Youth Elite Football Match was held from Feb 1 to 5 at the No.168 Arena of the TC Stadium in the capital of Samut Sakhon province in Thailand.

On Jan 28, Li Boqing, president of BYMT Football Club, held a departure ceremony for all the young football players at the West Village yard in Chengdu city. He wished them a good harvest from this Thailand trip. “Of course, I hope that they can have a good time during the trip,” Li said.

Many local officials attended the opening ceremony of the match to welcome the BYMT players. Zhang Linhai, head coach of BYMT, spoke on behalf of the club at the event, expressing gratitude to the Tourism Authority of Thailand, the Samut Sakhon government and the players’ parents for their full support.

Mahachai Football Academy, the organizer of the event, provided arrangements. The club has organized a series of Asian football games, and football teams from China, Japan and South Korea have trained and participated in games here.

The whole match went smoothly with quality medical care, excellent logistics service and tight security. If there was something wrong with a player, the referee would immediately halt the game and tend to them. Even when a player’s shoelace came undone, he would help retie it before resuming the game, an act praised by the Chinese coach and the parents of these young players.
