Children's art festival links China and ASEAN

The 3rd China-ASEAN International Children's Culture and Art Festival launched in Ningming, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, on July 15.

Ningming, located in Southwest China, boasts the Zuojiang Huashan Rock Art Cultural Landscape, which was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2016. The opening date of this year's festival also marks the one-year anniversary of the world heritage entry.

Corresponding to the World Heritage anniversary celebrations, all the contestants of the national competition can be a candidate for the Cultural Tourism Ambassador of Ningming Huashan.

The 1st China-ASEAN Ethnic Fashion Contest, which kicked off at the same time, features new designs in ethnic Chinese styles. Winners of the fashion contest will be selected as the annual promotion ambassador for Ningming Huashan World Cultural Heritage.

Meanwhile, the advertising film of Ningming named Light of the Rainbow was made by director Xu Bin and a crew from Shanghai and Guangzhou. It captures the natural and cultural landscapes of the area and will be released at the Nanning International Exhibition and Conference Center on August 5.

China-ASEAN International Children's Culture and Art Festival is the biggest cultural and artistic event for children in the China-ASEAN region. It connects over 50 cities and the delegation of the festival visits one ASEAN country every year. The final national contest begins on August 4.
