The ASEAN Kids Fashion Week and ASEAN Kids Model Contest 2020, an event for promoting cultural exchange among ASEAN countries, was held in Kunming, Yunnan province from Aug 14 to 16. The event, founded in response to the call for Yunnan to build a radiation center for South and Southeast Asia, was held by the China Chamber of International Commerce in Yunnan. The purpose of the fashion week was to provide an international platform for children from China and South and Southeast Asia while showcasing regional customs and fashions.

In the period of national rejuvenation, fashion items with specific national elements are becoming more and more popular. Children’s fashion week is of great importance for children to establish national cultural confidence and to learn about Chinese cultural and national cultures firsthand.

Brands which took part in the fashion week were all couture. Over 700 participants at the contest were from Yunnan, Guangdong, Guizhou, Zhejiang, Sichuan and other parts of China. They demonstrated poise and set an example for children all over the world.
