According to the Reply to National Art PrizesInitiation of the Information Office of CPC (the Dispatch No. 18th and the 31st in 1997 of theInformationOffice of CPC), the project of national art prizes has been decided. The name of various prizes and contents are as follows:
Wenhua Prize is the highest prize of professional arts established by the Ministry of Culture. Stick to the direction of serving the people and socialism development.
In order to regulate the administration of the import of audio-video products, Order 17 of the Ministry of Culture and the Customs General Administration promulgated the Administrative Measures on Import of Audio-Video Products on April 30, 1999.
The Art Festival of China is a national art festival sponsored by the Ministry of Culture of the People's Republic of China.
The Ministry of Culture and the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television conducted nation-wide activities cracking down on film smuggle and piracy, which has effectively restrained rampant film piracy, improved the environment of the film market to some extent.
