Fuzhou- Drum Hill – Xiamen

The transportation between Fuzhou and Drum Hill is very convenient. Departing from Fuzhou to the Drum Hill, you can take the Bus No.7, 36, 808, 812, 815, 937, 949, 957 or 960. And you should get off at the Xiayuan Bus Stop. Xiayuan is just located at the foot of the Drum Hill. Upon arrival at Xiayuan, there are three ways to get to the top of the mountain: walking up along the ancient trail, riding the cable car, or taking a minibus. Even if you arrive at Xiayuan in the evening, it's still Ok for you to climb up the mountain, since many lamps can be found along the ancient trail. Climbing up the Drum Hill in the evening, gives a good view of the night lights of Fuzhou. It's very charming. On the Drum Hill, we recommend that you visit Yongquan Temple and the Bajing Park (Eight Scenic Spots Park) during the daytime

After Drum Hill return to Fuzhou and take a coach bus to Quanzhou. On the way, you will enjoy the beautiful natural scenery. After arriving in Quanzhou, go to see Qingyuan Mountain, Water Park, Kaiyuan Temple, Fangcao Park and Tianhougong Palace (the Palace of the Goddess of the Heaven) by Bus No.601. After Quanzhou, take a coach bus from the Quanzhou Coach Bus Station to Xiamen. The ticket costs around CNY40.

Fuzhou - Wuyishan Mountain - Longyan – Xiamen

To see the Wuyishan Mountain, take a train from Fuzhou to Wuyishan City. Between these two cities, there are Trains No.K666/K667, N550, 2002, K322/K319, K164, Z60/Z57 and K30/K31. Wuyishan Mountain Scenic Area boasts fabulous mountains and waters. Part of the scenic area is a national park with many kinds of wild animals and plants. On the mountain, you can find a safe place for camping. After that, you can take a bus at the Wuyishan Coach Bus Station to Longyan. Longyan is about 546 kilometers from Wuyishan and the bus will take eight hours to get there. In Longyan, you can visit Hakka people's castles in Yongding. Yongding is a mountainous area in the southwest of Fujian Province, the place where the Hakka people have lived. Hakka means "guest". To defend enemies, Hakka people constructed numerous unique castle-like buildings in this area, most of them are round, but a few are square. Each building can hold about one hundred households. Trek to visit a few villages, and then go back to Longyan and take a coach bus to Xiamen.
